Rachel Morris, Board President Rachel Morris is a co-founder and President of VCCool. She has had careers as a performer, an organic farmer, and a high-tech product/project manager. She feels that the combined experience helps her to empower the sustainable-lifestyle movement in urban areas. She recently received the CPR Earth Charter Award for Ecological Integrity. Other accomplishments include earthen cob building, protecting open space in the Stanta Monica Mountain Range, Grocery Strike Benefit, and helping to write and produce two albums as part of the NatureGirl band. Rachel is also a member of the Climate and Water Team of the Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry of California. She has two daughters, two step children, two grand daughters, and one step grandson.
Elzbet Diaz de Leon, Board Secretary Elzbet teaches Biology and Environmental Studies at Ventura College. She has a background in Marine Biology and serves on the Ventura County Fish & Game Commission. Interested in a variety of issues she has been involved in community environmental activism for 40 years, mostly with the anti-nuclear movement, open space protection, and family planning.
